It is generally believed that HUD (Head-up displays) can make driving safer and easier, because users do not need to turn to the dashboard to see information, and information is projected into the vision ahead. There are many forms of HUD on the car, and NUVIZ intends to bring this technology to motorcycles, thus developing the Ride:HUD helmet system.
The difference of Ride:HUD is that it is attached to the existing helmet. Some other motorcycle HUD systems require users to replace their helmets.
The main parts of Ride:HUD are fixed on the part of the helmet jaw (see below), which can be easily removed. Its translucent screen is located at the lower right side of the driver's view, so that the line of sight on the road ahead will not be blocked.
